Boston Bombing…Why?

It’s at the heart of all the questions…

Why did it happen?

Why the Boston Marathon?

Why do terrorists attack the most innocent among us?

We may never have the answers but the following quote from Tolkien reminds us that in times of great peril… Evil cannot prevail against Love.

“The world is indeed full of peril and in it there are many dark places. But still there is much that is fair. And though in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, it still grows, perhaps, the greater.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

About Primortus

J.L. Bond is an author, blogger, wife and mother of two daughters. Contrary to popular belief, she is not related to that other J. Bond, nor is she an international woman of intrigue. She began blogging in 2005 while on a seven-month long “around the world” trip. Val Richards is an author, administrative assistant, mother, teacher without a classroom, and a space traveler wanna be. Because of her busy lifestyle, Val just cannot find the time to become an astronaut. Hence, she travels to other worlds through her imagination.

  1. Grief is healed by love. Long may it remain so.

  2. For some reason, I am always uplifted by Tolkien quotes. Thank you.

  3. !- Boston is part of the history where America got it’s start; 2 – It was Patriot’s Day; 3 – One of our oldest traditions (even older than the Red Sox); 4 – the brothers were fanatics who wanted to meet Allah and take a bunch of us with them for the ride. That’s off the top of my head, I’m sure I could come up with more if you want them.

  4. Thanks for your insightful comments. As time goes on, I hope we never forget those whose lives were forever changed by this unthinkable evil.
